The Town will actively participate in the county Home <br /> Consortium-Special Needs, <br /> 16 . Equal opportunity and access to all housing. <br /> E. Targets and Timetables - Ten (10*) percent set-aside by <br /> the year 2015 . #' <br /> The target is to maintain the current 4. 6% affordable level <br /> in the face of rapid growth by 2005 . <br /> The Town Planner suggested and members of the Hoard agreed, <br /> the words, "Habitat for Humanity, or other appropriate groups" <br /> should be added. <br /> The Town Planner concluded his presentation at this point of 4 <br /> p <br /> the Meeting andrequested a vote in support/adoption of the <br /> Affordable Housing Element. F <br /> r <br /> The chairman noted the Goals and objectives of this Element f <br /> had been y <br /> approved previously, and has been recentlyupdated b <br /> p <br /> the Planning Department. He entertained a motion for approval be <br /> made. <br /> MOTI oN: John Kuchin.ski made a motion to approve the <br /> Affordable Housing Element, as amended (1997) ; which Motion was <br /> duly seconded by chance Reichel and so voted unanimously. <br /> Board Items <br /> Discussion of Inspection Fees <br /> The chairman requested a fee recommendation be made to the <br /> Board from the Consulting Engineer, Charles Rowley. <br /> i- <br /> Mr. Rowley responded by informing the Board of the two <br /> requirements having been asked of him: Design Review and <br /> Inspection of Construction. <br /> ;.r <br /> With regard to Inspection of construction, Mr. Rowley <br /> i <br /> commented this to be the easier of the two, whereby road length <br /> is taken into consideration. The Design Review Fee being != <br /> somewhat more difficult to calculate. <br /> Mr. Rowley made the following suggestions regarding <br /> Inspection Fees: The basic inspections being Drainage, Gravel, <br /> and Final . A minimum Two Hundred Twenty-Five ($225. 00) Dollars, <br /> plus Fifty-Cents ($. 5 0) per linear foot for the length of the <br /> road. In the event all funds set aside were not needed, a refund t� <br /> could be given. The fee to be established with the Pla <br /> nning <br /> Board and aid prior to the first scheduled inspection, not <br /> P p <br /> necessarily at the time of filing the plan, Mr. Rowley suggested <br /> a check list procedure be established between the contractor and <br /> himself in order to establish time involved with inspection.
