Mr. Gordon stated he currently has a <br /> $1 million investment in connection with the Industrial property. <br /> He stated his interest in this matter to be "very strong- " <br /> Mr. Gordon stated he feels Planning Board action in this <br /> matter to be "insulting" in that there was no advance notice the <br /> obtained information from the newspaper earlier in the day) along <br /> f y g <br /> with the <br /> act that a great number of people have made every <br /> effort to make the Mashpee Industrial Park a success/reality, `4 <br /> including the Planning Board/Department, Economic Development <br /> Committee, original owners/Banks, the Cape Cod Commission and the <br /> Mashpee Industrial Park Trust. <br /> Mr. Gordon further stated that he and other abutters to the <br /> area within the Industrial Park under consideration have invested <br /> a lot of time and money to aid the development of the Industrial <br /> Park and feels it would be inappropriate to change the ground <br /> rules at this point. He also feels the location would be <br /> inappropriate as it relates to the proximity geographic <br /> of the <br /> center of the Town of Mashpee. He feels this concept would <br /> "devastate" the Mashpee Industrial Park, the remainder of the <br /> property would be significantly altered as it would relate to <br /> possible future uses, as well as present values. He expressed - <br /> his wish to realize the growth of the Mashpee Industrial Park in , <br /> its present conf iguration, stating it would generate year-round <br /> full time employment. <br /> Mr. Gordon urged the Board to put a halt to the concept <br /> under discussion. <br /> George Twomey: Stated that a portion of his land would be <br /> included in the area under consideration. He purchased the ' T <br /> property for industrial purposes and questioned the establishment <br /> of a mixed--use zone. He informed the Board of concerns raised by <br /> f our (4) of the tenants on his property. He urged. the Board to <br /> allow the Industrial Park to remain open for industrial uses <br /> exclusively.
