I am writing to express concern with the ability of the property to accommodate additional or other uses. The current occupants of the property are storing multiple vehicles, including what appear to be unregistered cars, along Bowdoin Road. Storage trailers and car carriers are parked on the road (a total of three on a recent visit). Vehicle parts and debris also litter the road adjacent to the property. The uses proposed for the property include a trash service company, a bus charter company, and boat storage. All these uses raise an even greater concern with parking,storage, and litter. Therefore, if the Zoning Board is so inclined to grant the Special Permit, I request that said approval be conditioned as follows or similarly: The owners and/or occupants of 53 Bowdoin Road shall not park or store any vehicles or equipment within the layout of Bowdoin Road." The owners and/or occupants of 53 Bowdoin Road shall remove all vehicle parts and debris from the layout of Bowdoin Road immediately adjacent to said property and to the cul-de-sac beyond. The owners and/or occupants shall be responsible for maintaining this area free of litter and debris in the future. For your information, by copy of this memorandum, I am also advising the appropriate Town departments of the current issue with the parking and storage on Bowdoin Road.
