Donald Angus was present representing the applicant. The major item to , <br /> be discussed this evening is Fire Department input. He presented plans of the 3 alternatives and a letter describing <br /> them. <br /> r Alternative 1 has a shorter landing area. It goes dawn to 1 Q% grade for 50 <br /> feet and reate r than 6% for another 100 feet. This would require a waiver � <br /> g <br /> k for 150 feet of grade. It st i 11 needs retaining walls near the boundary . F <br /> Another alternative is to move the guard rails so they are on top of the <br /> M, <br /> retaining wal 1 . There is a similar length of retaining wal 1 ( to the <br /> r <br /> previous alternatives) , the difference is moving the guard rail out . <br /> ' <br /> _ <br /> Mr. McGrath gave the Board a real example of this . when you leave Rte 2 S, <br /> get onto Rte 151 towards Mashpee there is a railroad bridge with a 5 foot <br /> 1;hY railing l i ng on the North side. On the South side there is 5 foot railing with <br /> . , <br /> an insurmountable curb, with a height of 12 , There is 31 font clear. He <br /> ` measured the length of the insurmountable curb at 122 feet.
