Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on April 23, 2004 and April <br /> 30, 2004, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> 4 <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at which time the following members of the Zoning Board of <br /> Appeals were present and acting throughout: Robert Nelson, James Regan and Zella <br /> Elizenberry. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A Section 9 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> John Slavinky of Cape &Islands Engineering represents the petitioner. He is <br /> seeking a special permit in the industrial zone in order to build contractor bays. He is <br /> seeking a use permit in order to have plumbing, electrical or carpentry shop or other <br /> similar service or repair establishement, a place for manufacturing, assembly or <br /> packaging goods, a wholesale business and storage in a roofed structure. The Design <br /> Review committee has required petitioner to insert vinyl slates in between the chain link <br /> fence to shield the ball field from seeing the industrial work. There is also a request from <br /> the fire department for a connection. This requests is conducive to the businesses already <br /> in that area and the Board feels this requests is appropriate. <br />
