approved minutes. It is obvious that this motion has far-reaching implications
• regarding Southport's Special Use Permit. Further, how could the Zoning Board of
Appeals actually approve the July 9 minutes of meeting without asking for
verification of the letter request that the correct tapes be left with the Town Clerk's
office for safe keeping?
My question is "are the actions of the ZBA a blatant disregard for recording the
Town's history accurately and honestly, or part of what the Zoning Board perceives as its
"discretionary power"? We cannot locate anywhere in the Zoning Board of Appeals By-
laws any mention of "discretionary power" as being granted to the Board!
Would you please intercede on my behalf and try to locate from the Board's
secretary the correct tape that would have recorded the events of the July 9, 2003
meeting to ensure that the ZBA's actions will be historically accurate.
Thank you for your prompt response to my request.
Sincerely yours,
cc: Town Administrator
• Town Clerk's Office ✓
9Z :Z Iqd LZ 91 TV £0
