own of]Vashpee <br /> MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS16 Great JVeck load JUorth <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> Decision for a Variance <br /> RE: Eleanor Vanaria 19 Jeep Place <br /> Map 118 Parcel 112 <br /> V-03-112 <br /> A Petition was filed on July 22, 2003 by Eleanor Vanaria for a Variance from <br /> Section 174-31 of the Zoning By-laws to vary the current setback requirements in order <br /> to legalize an existing deck on property located in an R-3 zoning district at 19 Jeep Place <br /> (Map 118 Block 112) Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, <br /> a newspaper of general circulation on August 1, 2003 and August 8, 2003 a copy of <br /> which is attached hereto and made a part in the Town of Mashpee, on hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on Wednesday, <br /> • August 13, 2003 at which time the following members of the Zoning Board of Appeals <br /> were present and acting throughout: Marshall Brem, Zella Elizenberry and Robert <br /> Nelson. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A Section 10 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Eleanor Vanaria represents herself at this hearing. She is requesting several variances <br /> in order to legalize an existing deck that was built without a permit. She did not realize <br /> that she needed a permit to build a deck. The Board discusses some of the aspects of her <br /> deck. Mr. Brem moves to grant the following variances: Zella Elizenberry seconds the <br /> motion. <br /> - 3.1 feet on the easterly side <br /> - 6.9 feet on the westerly side <br /> - 8.2 feet on the northerly side <br /> • <br />
