Mashpee Zoning Minutes—July 24, 2002 5 <br /> Board of Appeals <br /> the parking space requirements. Mr. Ojala said that less parking spaces would mean <br /> more green space and less impervious area for the Town. He went into a lengthy <br /> discussion of the proposed construction of the storage buildings. <br /> i , <br /> I <br /> Mr. Bornstein said that he lives in the area and wants to avoid developing the subject <br /> property with a noisy activity. He said that the proposal would generate less noise, traffic <br /> and pollution than other businesses. Mr. Bornstein said that he conducted a survey and <br /> found that there is a great need for climate-controlled storage space for records from <br /> banks, police departments, lawyers, etc. He said that he plans to offer van service to and <br /> from the storage facility for customers toP drop ick u and doff records. <br /> p p <br /> Mr. Nelson said that he would have no problem with the reduction in the amount of <br /> proposed parking spaces. He did express concern with traffic maneuvering within a <br /> 30-foot strip of land, which abuts several lots. Mr. Bornstein said that the abutting lots <br /> are all industrial zoned, are `pretty ugly' and would detract from what he is proposing. <br /> Some of the abutting lots are for boat storage, car repair and a sprinkler business. Mr. <br /> Bornstein said that anything stored at his facility is subject to strict rules and regulations j <br /> and every customer has to undergo a thorough inspection by management. <br /> No comments were received from abutters. <br /> lj I <br /> Quashnet Valley West—Discussion regarding Proposed Modification to original Special <br /> Permit.
