r i <br /> Tolman of Mashpee <br /> N <br /> •� MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS 16 Great Aeck Xoad Arth <br /> 0' <br /> 11 co, Decision for a Variance Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> RE: Jeffrey Fields V-02-98 11 Echo Road <br /> Map 20 Parcel 47 <br /> A Petition was filed on July 23, 2002 by Jeffrey Fields of Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts for a Variance from Section 174.5 LB of the Zoning By-laws to exceed <br /> the 20-foot size maximum to allow for installation of new commercial signage on <br /> property located in a C-2 zoning district at 11 Echo Road (Map 20 Parcel 47) Mashpee, <br /> MA. Owner of record of 11 Echo Road: George F. O'Brien III. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on August 9 and August 16, <br /> 2002, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, August 28, 2002, at which time the following members of the Zoning Board <br /> of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Marshall Brem, Robert G. Nelson and <br /> James E. Regan, III. <br /> a <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A Section 10 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> The Board denied Mr. Field's request for a variance because he did not meet the <br /> required variance criteria. Section 174-55 of the Zoning By-laws states "signs shall relate <br /> to the premises on which they are located and shall only identify the occupancy of such <br /> premises or advertise the articles and services available within said premises, except as <br /> provided in Section 174-51B. <br />
