i
A
NATURE OF APPLICATON B
The Applicants are the owners of six (6) vacant lots on Lettie Lane. They seek various (;
forms of Variance Relief to develop these lots for single-family residential use. Four(4)of these lots p
were the subject matter of Variance Relief issued by the Zoning Board in August 1999. (See
Decisions attached hereto).
THE SITE
'I
These six (6) lots are situated on a fully developed subdivision road off Goodspeed
Meetinghouse Road. Goodspeed Meetinghouse Road is an undeveloped private way. The
Applicants had been denied Variance Relief to build on four (4) of these lots in 1989 (Lots 1, 2, 3
PP I i
and 4) based on a finding that Goodspeed Meetinghouse Road was inadequate access. The I
Applicants appealed that denial to the Superior Court, which resulted in a Stipulation and a remand
further action. See Stipulations attached hereto). Consistent with the Stipulation
to the Board for f ( p )
entered into by the parties, the Board of Appeals granted Variance Relief to develop the lots for
residential purposes subject to various conditions, including the upgrade and improvement of
Goodspeed Meetinghouse Road, which the Applicants are prepared to accomplish in cooperation j
with the Town's Highway Department. It is unclear as to why Lots 5 and 6 were not included as
' I
part of these variances, however, the Applicants have applied for such relief in the event it was an
oversight back in 1990.
These lots range between 17,494 and 19,641 square feet and were considered to be
grandfathered.
THE PROPOSAL
The Applicants seek the right to develop each of these lots for single-family residential use.
(See house plan attached hereto).
ij
