Schofield V-00-98 378 Monomoscoy Road <br /> Map 125 Block 19 <br /> i <br /> A Petition was filed on February 25, 2000 by Mark P. Schofield of Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts for a Variance from Section 174-25.I.9 of the Zoning By-laws for <br /> permission to exceed the 70-foot length limit to allow for construction of a pier, <br /> i <br /> ramp and float on Great River on property located in an R-3 zoning district at 378 <br /> Monomoscoy Road(Map 125 Block 19)Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on March 24 and March 31, <br /> 2000, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> I . <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at which time the following members of the Zoning Board of <br /> 'j <br /> Appeals were present and acting throughout: James E. Regan III, Robert G.Nelson and <br /> Marshall A. Brem. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 10 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Mr.Norman Hayes of the BSC Group represented the applicant and stated that <br /> anchor chains with an eyebolt would hold the proposed 6 x16-foot float in place and <br /> keep the float off the tidal bottom at all times. A Variance is being sought for permission <br /> to construct a 90-foot length pier. The Harbormaster and the Shellfish Constable assisted <br /> in the unique design of the proposal. The Conservation Commission has also approved <br /> the project. <br /> No comments were received from abutters. <br /> �r <br />
