Meehan III of Mashpee, <br /> Massachusetts for a Special Permit under Section 174-25.A.8 of the Zoning By-laws for <br /> j . <br /> permission to construct an addition of an in-law apartment to an existing dwelling on <br /> property located in an R-5 zoning district at 40 Quinaquisset Avenue (Map 68 Block 18) <br /> Mashpee, MA. <br /> �I <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on July 21 and July 28, 2000, <br /> a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. ! I; <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> I <br /> Wednesday, August 9, 2000, at which time the following members of the Zoning Board <br /> of Appeals were present and acting throughout: Edward M. Govoni, James E. Regan III 'I <br /> and Frederick R. Borgeson. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40A, Section 9 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Mr. Meehan represented his Petition and said that he is looking for permission to <br /> add an in-law apartment to his home. He said that his parents plan to stay in the in-law <br /> apartment when they visit from Florida. <br /> Mr. Govoni confirmed that the proposal meets the minimum square footage <br /> I <br /> requirement and that it meets the setback requirements. He made sure that Mr. Meehan <br /> understands that the in-law apartment can only be occupied by family members and <br /> cannot be rented out to non-family members. <br /> No comments were received from abutters. <br />
