Town of Mashpee <br /> MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS 16 Great Jlreck load Vorth <br /> N "^% <br /> Decision for a Variance Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br /> RE: John J. and Patricia Curley V-99-91 100 Uncle Percy's Road <br /> Map 117 Block 246 <br /> A Petition was filed on September 13, 1999 by John J. and Patricia Curley of <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts a Variance from Section 174-31 of the Zoning By-laws for <br /> permission to vary the front setback requirements to allow for construction of an addition <br /> to an existing home on property located in an R-3 zoning district at 100 Uncle Percy's <br /> Road(Map 117 Block 246)Mashpee, MA. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on October 8 and October 15, <br /> 1999, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br />' A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, October 27, 1999, at which time the following members of the Zoning Board <br /> of Appeals were present and acting throughout: James E. Regan III, Robert G.Nelson <br /> and Frederick R. Borgeson. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 10 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Mr. Curley represented his application and stated that the small cottage currently <br /> has two small bedrooms. The cottage has been in his family for over 30 years and Mr. <br /> Curley owns it jointly with his wife and his sister. The addition to the front of the home <br /> would be 10 feet by 29 feet and consist of a bedroom and a screened-in porch to <br /> accommodate their growing families. Mr. Curley said that a front setback Variance is <br /> being sought. <br /> The Conservation Commission and the Board of Health have approved the <br /> project. <br /> No comments were received from abutters. <br />
