Costa V-99-99 293 South Sandwich Road <br /> Map 16 Block 92 <br /> A Petition was filed on September 29, 1999 by Robert L. Costa of Mashpce, <br /> Massachusetts for a Variance from Section 174-31 of the Zoning By-laws for permission <br /> to vary the front setback requirements to allow for addition of a farmer's porch to an <br /> existing home on property located in an R-5 zoning district at 293 South Sandwich Road <br /> (Map 16 Block 92)Mashpee, MA. (Owner of record: Robert L. and Marylou Costa). <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise;a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on October 8 and October 15, <br /> 1999, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, October 27, 1999, at which time the following members of the Zoning Board <br /> of Appeals were present and acting throughout: James E. Regan III, Robert G. Nelson <br /> and Richard T. Guerrera. <br /> This Decision is issued by the Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Law, Chapter 40A, Section 10 and the Town of <br /> Mashpee Zoning By-laws. <br /> Mr. Costa represented his application and stated that he proposes to add an 8-foot <br /> farmer's porch to his home. He informed the Board that he is making home <br /> improvements on the 25-year old dwelling. <br /> Mr. Costa stated that the layout of the road curves into his front yard and that the <br /> house was built very close to the front of the lot. He is seeking Variance relief from the <br /> front setback requirements. <br /> Mr. Costa also submitted letters from abutters approving the proposal. <br /> No other comments were received from abutters. <br />
