FELIX BOSSHARD r 103 Warren Road Sudbury, MA 01776 Sudbury, March 9, 1997 Board of Appeals Town of Mashpee 16 Great Neck Road North Mashpee, MA 002649 Gentlemen, late last year I purchased a building lot in Mashpee jointly with my wife,.The property, 134 Pimlico Pond Road, Map 2, Block 138, was formerly owned by Kostas and Ina Nenortas who had applied for a variance for the construction of a single family house on the site.That variance was granted on May 15", 1996. The lot is adjacent to our Mashpee residence at 130 Pimlico Pond Road, and at the time of purchase we hoped to build on the lot At the time of the P&S agreement we were under the impression that the regulations of the Board of Appeals allowed for two 6 month extensions to the variance but found out later that this may not necessarily be the case and only one extension might be granted. We have at about the same time become involved in a major business expansion project, adding a Framingham location to our automobile agency in Watertown.The expansion has taken up not only the bulk of our available time (and of course our potentially available funds!) but has for the next year or so severely limited our options. I would thus like to ask you first of all to grant us the first six month extension to the permit we seem to be automatically entitled to, thus extending our building permit to November 15" 1997. 1 would also like to petition the Board to grant us a second extension to keep the permit in force until May 15". 1998. I lastly would like to find out what would happen if I was forced to let the permit lapse; How and when can we then reapply for a new permit as circumstances hopefully will allow us to proceed with our original plans.
