i r
Discussion of Donna' s Lane taping.
Tony presented a plan from Fields Point on Jobs Fishing
Road. This was the plan he was given by Fields Point after
he requested their latest plan on Jobs Fishing Road.
Pat stated that Donna's Lane is ready to go and that Jobs
has been looped at closely as a rotary by pass. The
stumbling block on Jobs is that Fields Point runts o set
back and they will not have that as the road is not planned.
Also, it cannot be signalized if it is not an intersection
of Town roads.
Tony stated that their current design concepts show parallel
parking.
Wayne asked if Town Counsel had called Joe Murphy to get his
recollection of situation?
Tom stated that he had not called but they have documents
which say Fields Point was supposed to build the road and
give it to the Town as shown on the plan approved in 1985.
It does not mention signals and they have town meeting
articles from that time.
Tom stated that at this point they are waiting for Fields
Point to come in with new plans for the Planning Board to
approve under subdivision process to change the road which
was originally approved.
Tom thinks parallel parking is bad, the point was to
encourage this road to be a by pass. If traffic doesn' t
move it will not work. If the road is too slow and too
congested people will not use the by pass.
Pat does not think they can go wrong with parallel parking,
it can always be removed in the future and it might wore:.
Tony the problem with that, even if they reserve the right
to tape parallel parking back and then Fields Point
continues to plan the area for parallel parking, where would
the people park? They mould have to plan for the possibility
of removing the parallel parking.
Tony stated that he received a letter from Fields Point
regarding a proposed zoning ordinance. Fields Point asked
the Board members to review it and be prepared to discuss it
at the April 4th meeting.
Wayne stated that they should be planning the whole area.
Tony stated that they should be planning capacities in
• relation to the whole neighborhood (Whitings) . Fields' Point
will have to start to deal with this and then can start to
lay it out. The Whitings neighborhood has & strong
relationship to Jobs.
Wayne will talk with Joe Murphy to further substantiate what
the understanding was.
6
