NATURE TOUR GUIDE <br /> Report of the <br /> Renee Fudala is the Conservation Department's Council on Aging <br /> naturalist tour guide. Renee offers tours of various <br /> conservation parcels in Town year round. Her tours <br /> focus on native flora and fauna as well as natural To the Honorable Board of Selectmen and the <br /> history. Renee has been with the Conservation Citizens of the Town of Mashpee: <br /> Department for many years and her tours are very <br /> entertaining,informative and popular. Shaw, <br /> John R.Rogers Town Clerk records indicate that there were 1,536 <br /> Dale R.RogercKay <br /> seniors in Mashpee in 1990,and 3,050 seniors as of the <br /> Chad Smith Year 2000 census. A check with the Town Clerk in <br /> Thomas J. O'Neill November of 2017 showed a tally of 5,556 seniors. <br /> Louis J.DiMeo <br /> Steven H. Cook In 2017, the Friends of Mashpee Council on <br /> Andrew R.McManus (Agent) Aging continued its support of the Council on Aging, <br /> Katelyn Cadoret(Assistant Agent) the Senior Center and the community. The Friends of <br /> the Mashpee Council on Aging continued its valuable <br /> community service by offering clothing and other <br /> necessities for many of our townspeople through the <br /> operation of its thrift shop located opposite the Senior <br /> ' Center. In addition, they contributed to the Senior <br /> Center,by subsidizing the mailing of the newsletter, <br /> _ broadcast email, and by contributing to the Holiday <br /> Gift Program for needy Mashpee seniors. <br /> The Council on Aging, through the Mashpee <br /> Senior Center, promoted a number of volunteer <br /> opportunities at the Senior Center. Volunteers <br /> numbered in excess of 175 citizens. They brought <br /> ' diverse skills, talent and abilities and shared their <br /> energy and time with their fellow seniors.
