Our mission is to promote Nina Cocomazzi, Treasurer <br /> excellence, education and diversity in the arts, John Miller <br /> humanities and interpretive sciences, in order to help Lynne Waterman <br /> improve the quality of life for our community's Bill Nay <br /> residents. The Mashpee Cultural Council distributes Mary Alice Stahleker <br /> funds appropriated by the state legislature that have <br /> been allotted by a local aid formula. The Calendar Year The following grants were awarded for 2018: <br /> 2018 amount allotted for Mashpee is$4,500. <br /> Mary Lou Palumbo <br /> Grant applications are due October 15th of each Do You Want to Build a Snowman?Magic Show $ 325 <br /> year and are awarded and funded for the following Stephen Lewis <br /> calendar year. Awards are made to community International Women's Day—An International Poster$ 90 <br /> organizations or individuals that incorporate and/or <br /> build awareness of the arts. Grants are made in Mashpee Public Library <br /> accordance with Massachusetts Cultural Council and The Elbows-Children's Rock Band $ 500 <br /> local guidelines. Because funds are limited and the Amy Lynn Barber&Sam Holmstock <br /> goal is to grant as many opportunities as possible, Out of Africa—A Marimba&Drumming <br /> greatest consideration is given to those applicants who Performance $ 500 <br /> demonstrate community impact, engagement, and Cape Cod Commercial Fisherman's Alliance <br /> uniqueness of the program. This year the number of Voices From the Wheelhouse II $ 400 <br /> grant applications far outweighed the total grant funds <br /> available, which proved to be a challenge to the Carolyn Markowski <br /> Council due to numerous excellent proposals that were Mashpee Garden Club $ 150 <br /> submitted. The total amount of grant funds requested Mairead Mayen <br /> was $13,365 and the Council had $5,125 in available Wampanoag Day $ 500 <br /> funds to award (this included funds carried over from Carolyn Savage/Quashnet School PTO <br /> the prior year). We welcome your Makerspace at Mashpee Village $ 400 <br /> suggestions that will assist the Council in promoting Mashpee Public Library <br /> the arts,humanities and interpretive sciences. These Adult Make&Take Craft Series $ 435 <br /> programs help Mashpee residents of all ages to be <br /> sensitive, caring, aware and well-rounded citizens.
