Despite on-going COVID-related <br /> Three Year Plan and Outlook: closures and reimagined services, the new year <br /> • Continue to increase spatial and attribute promised a fresh start. We embraced remote and online <br /> accuracy and completeness for vital GIS data programming with a goal of curating and sharing the <br /> layers best offerings from our own CLAMS network, as well <br /> • Create metadata for all GIS data maintained by as libraries across the state and nation. We partnered <br /> the Town of Mashpee with other libraries to bring bestselling authors Lisa <br /> Unger, Alafair Burke, Jeffrey Archer, and David <br /> • Use GIS to map all municipal assets for use in Balducci zooming into your homes to discuss their <br /> federal reporting requirements (GASB-34) latest works and respond to audience questions. <br /> • Continue to expand use of GIS in town Perennial favorite, Dr. Jane Scarborough took the <br /> departments including: Assessing, Fire, Police, virtual center stage with her multi-week discussion <br /> Conservation, Building, Health,DPW, Planning, series focused on the current Supreme Court Justices <br /> Clerk, Shellfish and Harbor Master and their unique styles of jurisprudence. The Event <br /> Room became the hub of our service delivery as <br /> • Refine methodology for consistent use of hundreds of books were ordered by residents and <br /> centralized Master Address Table across all bagged by staff for contactless pick-up. Demand for <br /> appropriate platforms our online resources continued to soar, and we <br /> • Create hiking trails brochure highlighting trails increased access to bestselling ebooks for our patrons <br /> within the Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge by opting to purchase titles using the simultaneous use <br /> model,which meant select titles were always available <br /> Clay Nicholson with no waiting lists. <br /> GISING9111CRS Coordinator <br /> Our services for children migrated to online <br /> platforms and featured regular Reading Challenges that <br /> allowed families to read and track books online for <br /> sweet rewards! Local businesses Ghelfis Candies and <br /> Cape Cod Coffee offered free candy and hot chocolate <br /> respectively as prizes for everyone who completed the <br /> Reading Challenges. While in-person activities were <br /> suspended we continued our partnership with the <br /> Coalition for Children, which offered activities online <br /> to keep little ones engaged. A new theme debuted <br /> every week featuring literacy-based activities including <br /> science, art, music, and movement. <br /> - Teens remained connected to the library through <br /> meetings of the Teen Advisory Board held via Zoom. <br /> The online platform allowed time to check-in and <br /> discuss books,movies,homework, or other hot topics. <br /> 125 <br />
