Mashpee Select Board <br />Minutes <br />August 22, 2022 <br />Discussion and Ala99val of License to Enter and Use Real Prolertw ( 101 Red Brook Road. <br />Mash iee).Eversource ErigELy. <br />The Select Board reviewed the License proposed for Eversource Energy to enter, occupy and use the premise; <br />101 Red Brook Road, Mashpee to operate and maintain electric transmission and communication lines as may be <br />necessary. It was recommended the document incorporate schematics of the subject area to identify any limits, to <br />include an orientation map for ease of identification as required in the Blue Sky Towers Agreements as <br />previously referenced. <br />It was disclosed this is a temporary easement for the work to be performed. It is anticipated the Select Board <br />would add the License Agreement for inclusion on the October warrant on this date. <br />Motion made by Selectman Cotton to approve the License between the Town of Mashpee and Eversource <br />Energy to Enter and Use Real Property identified as 101 Red Brook Road, Mashpee. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br />Selectman Sherman, yes Opposed, none <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Discussion and royal of Town Manager's 2022 23 „Goals: <br />Town Manager Rodney C. Collins presented his list of Goals for 2022-23. Priority goals include Sewer <br />Construction, Enforcement and Collective Bargaining. A brief discussion followed regarding No. 6, the change- <br />over to the new Town Seal. It was noted the Town Manager has been working on this project making <br />modifications daily. This includes web -based platforms and visible signage. <br />With respect to the Town Bylaws goal to reduce nitrogen loading it was recommended this initiative include the <br />reduction of all contaminants and further to address controls for all surface waters. Additional goals to be <br />considered include work in developing grant opportunities as well as evaluating potential incentives which <br />would promote Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU's) as a mechanism to address the affordable housing shortfall. <br />Discussion followed with respect to the improvement of diversity and ensuring the representation of diversity in <br />all departments. This is a practice the Town Manager has endorsed and endeavored to continue. Strides have <br />been made in terms of equality and preference to hire Mashpee residents. <br />Motion made by Selectman Cotton to accept and approve the Town Manager Goals for 2022-23 as <br />presented. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br />Selectman Sherman, yes Opposed, none <br />
