i6 Great Neck Road North <br />Nashpee, Massachusetts 02649 <br />Mr. Lehrer would like to hold a special workshop for the Board to begin defining those actions. <br />He does not want to wait until the end to work on this. They learned a lot through this process <br />and can at least come up with a skeleton. Weston and Sampson wanted to draft a memo with <br />proposed actions to consider. They are about a year into the contract, with a total of 18 <br />months. Getting the survey, final workshops, and producing drafts will also take time. The <br />contract is up in mid -April. <br />Ms. Waygan stated if he gets them all the data, then the vision statement and actions steps will <br />fall into place. <br />Ms. Waygan wanted to recap some dates and the timeline. On November 13th they are <br />meeting with Tribal Council. Then they will schedule one last virtual workshop. They are <br />thinking of launching the survey in the first week of December, and all data can be given to the <br />Board prior to their first meeting in December. Visioning will be coming the first weekend of <br />December. She thinks it will be beneficial to hold a special meeting during the second week in <br />December about action items, the week of the 12th —16th. That second Wednesday she will be <br />at the Commission meeting so she is proposing Thursday, December 15th, maybe around <br />5:OOp.m. She would like to see her existing conditions red lined and she will ask if they will do <br />that. <br />Workshop on proposed actions <br />This item was tabled. <br />Affordable and Workforce Housing <br />Coordination with Affordable Housing Committee and Community Preservation <br />Program <br />Mr. Lehrer spoke with the Affordable Housing Committee last evening. The Chair asked him to <br />start thinking about the launch of the HPP process. As they are nearing the end of the LCP, he <br />would like to begin the procurement process for the consultant. The AHC wanted a timeline of <br />information and where this update will be taken. They want to begin the scope and scale of <br />engagement with this plan. Drafting a request for a quote would be simple. The CPC has <br />awarded $50,000 and approval from Town Meeting for the update. He will issue the RFQ, up <br />to, but not exceeding $50,000. The writing and issuing of the RFQ is 30 days, they will issue <br />an award and execute a contract, which will bring them to December. In early January they will <br />begin outlining the process and conducting literature. They will look into engagement that <br />would be consistent with best practice. As he explained to the AHC, he would like to create a <br />mechanism to hold accountability for the town to bring sites identified for affordable housing <br />into fruition. He anticipates it would take around 6 months to get through engagement and <br />prepare a draft. The draft would be under review by the AHC for comments and edits, they will <br />12 <br />
