Mr. B a ernan. aske i it were <br /> a mistake on our part that we didn'.t include t.hi s section as R3 . <br /> Mr. Mass ters said no it was purposely left out because R3 was created <br /> to slow development in that area. Mr. Blakeman stated he realized that <br /> but New Sea.bury will be all business he is sure after the annual Town <br /> Meeting. Mr. Blakeman sags we"ve got commercial then right next to it <br /> you .are putting in 40, 000sf lot-s . He had grown up with the opinion. . <br /> Framingham, Natick, etc . , that when you have Industrial and Commercial <br /> and you try to have a buffer zone next to that; such as condos , apartments <br /> then you go on to residential -., but to go right to commercial and then on. <br /> into 40, 000sf lots doesn't sound right he feels there must be a buffer <br /> zone . Mr. Mars ters stated talking this way has no bearing on this pro- <br /> blem. . a concept that should come up the next time we are talking re-zoning, <br /> Mr., <br /> Makunas feels as though a hardship was created for Canning and what <br /> with the enclosed Mall (New- Seabury''s Lntention) , condos would be ideal . <br /> Mr. Makunas asked the possibility of a s-ofter use of industrial such as <br /> commercial us . Mr. Mars ters stated he did not like the idea. Mr. Makunas <br /> then asked the possibility 'about increasing the commercial and Mr. <br /> Jonas stated he should come in with a plan. The plan as sum.itted was <br /> voted on by Planning Board as follows <br /> Earle M._ Marsters Canning should abide by zoning. <br /> Richardson Jonas Canning should abide no hardship <br /> Harold Collins - Canning Should abide <br /> Donald Blakeman. -- He would like to see 'a buffer <br /> and believes - 'it should- be zoned commercial. <br /> ............................ <br /> Mr. Blakeman asked for the floor to discuss part-time salaries saying <br /> it had been that for the part--time day secretaries to receive <br /> proposed <br /> $5 . 14 per hour retroactively and then eventually. going up to $5 . 62 per <br /> house. He feels that the evening secretaries , coming out in the evening <br /> and even though guaranteed four hours per meeting should have their <br /> salaries raised. He mentioned. the Conservation Board is- agreeable as is <br /> the Board of Appeals and he suggested getting together with someone from <br /> each board and join into the Pers onnel� Board wi es ion oth sugg . same . _ <br /> L <br /> Meeting adjourned at 10 ; 48PM <br />
