Taylor <br />Meeting Callednto Order by Chairman Weeden at 6:50 p.m. <br />Mashpee Town Hall, Waquoit Meeting Room <br />MINUTES <br />Mond a 1,janu;lry 9m_2023,.Re ular Session: <br />The minutes were amended to correct a typo on page 12 to read: Cape Cod & Islands Water Protection Fund <br />Board where appropriate. <br />Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve the minutes of Monday; January 9, 2023 as amended. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br />Selectman Sherman, yes Selectman Wyman -Colombo, yes Opposed, none <br />APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br />Public Comment: <br />Brian Everett a resident of Forest Drive deferred his comments to the Disc Golf discussion. <br />Gregory McKelvey, Menemsha Road indicated at the last Select Board meeting there was comment regarding an <br />article which appeared in the New York Times. Mr. McKelvey stated the people of Mashpee are aware of the <br />water quality problem and do not need intimidation from the newspaper. The Town Officials including the Town <br />Managers and Select Board are doing a great job moving forward on this matter. As a member of the Finance <br />Committee Mr. McKelvey recommended the Town take a hard look at what is looming ahead, and of the choices <br />that will have to be made. The financial costs could be overwhelming, and it is necessary to plan and to work out <br />the specifics carefully, together in a positive and safe way in the spirit of cooperation. As a resident of the Town <br />Mr. McKelvey stated he is not in favor of a moratorium. <br />
