M <br />Mashpee Select Board <br />Minutes <br />February 27, 2023 <br />Discussion and Possible Approval of Draft # lw of the _I+R!Iay 1 2023 , S, vpecial wand AnnualTownMeeting <br />Warrant Articles: <br />Andrew McManus was in attendance to request the Select Board withdraw the Disc Golf article. Mr. <br />McManus indicated that he intends to postpone the request for CPA funding to October 2023. Various <br />reasons to support this request were outlined in a memorandum addressed to the Town Manager and CPC <br />Chair dated February 27, 2023. <br />The Select Board reviewed and deliberated on the following articles contained in Draft #1 of the Special <br />and Annual Town Meeting warrants of Monday, May 1, 2023. <br />SPecial_Town Meeting.Warrant: <br />Article: To fund a deficit in the Snow & Ice Account — HELD <br />Article: To pay bills received at the end of a previous fiscal year — HELD <br />Article: To set aside funds to the Capital Stabilization Account —HELD <br />Article: CPC —To set aside the Surplus 10% Reserves (if received) - HELD <br />Article: To provide funds to cover the shortfall in the Fire Department Salary Account; <br />$101,450 from the Ambulance Reserved Receipts Account <br />Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve and recommend the allocation of funds to cover <br />the shortfall in the Fire Department Salary Account. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br />Selectman Sherman, yes Selectman Wyman -Colombo, yes Opposed, none <br />Article: CPC to fund the Quashnet School Playground Improvement Project Phase II- $378,080 <br />Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve the recommend the Quashnet School Playground <br />Improvement Project. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara.
