0 <br />Mashpee Select Board <br />Minutes <br />March 20, 2023 <br />MINUTES: <br />Mon�March 13 2023MRegular Session da <br />Motion made by Selectman Cotton to approve the Regular Session minutes of Monday; March 13, 2023 as <br />presented. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Weeden, yes <br />Selectman Sherman, yes <br />APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br />Public Comment: <br />Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br />Selectman Wyman -Colombo, yes Opposed, none <br />Ken Dembrowski, Great Field Landing offered comment on the Town Meeting article proposed to borrow the <br />sum of $8,000,000 to pay for capital expenditures. This includes a new Fire truck, HVAC replacement design, <br />engineering and construction as well as an energy audit for the Mashpee Public School buildings, HVAC <br />replacement design, engineering and construction for the Mashpee Police Department building, HVAC water <br />piping design and construction at the Mashpee Town Hall and the design, engineering and construction of a roof <br />at the Department of Public Works building. <br />Mr. Dembrowski indicated he understands the justification however, in his opinion this action could have been <br />done individually. In concern Mr. Dombrowski stated there were no discussions regarding the debt service. He <br />asked where the funding would derive from and how this expenditure would impact the average homeowner in <br />the Town of Mashpee. <br />Public Hearin2023„ Seasonal Alcoholic B.evera�es and EntertainmentuLicense Renewals.:. <br />Discussion and A 1 1gyal of 2023 Seasonal Alcoholic Beverages and Entertainment LicensewRenewalsµ <br />The Select Board, acting as the Local Licensing Authority for the Town of Mashpee opened the Public Hearing <br />on the 2023 Seasonal Alcoholic Beverages and Entertainment License renewals. The Public Hearing notice was <br />read aloud into the record to adhere to posting requirements. <br />It was disclosed the Building Department has verified that all licensed establishments have passed building and <br />fire inspections. Verification was received from the Health Agent and Chief of Police. There are no reported <br />violations. The Treasurer/Tax Collector's Office has confirmed that all licensed establishments are current on <br />their property taxes. All seasonal license holders have submitted proof of workers' compensation insurance as <br />well as proof of liquor liability insurance as required. <br />*Denotes an establishment is renewing its License for Weekday Entertainment and Entertainment on Sundays. <br />The Select Board opened the Hearing to solicit comment. Being none, the following action was taken; <br />
