13 <br />Mashpee Select Board <br />Minutes <br />August 7, 2023 <br />Discussion Approval and Recommendations of Draft #2 of the October 16 2023 Town Meetin .p Warrant: <br />Deferred for a full voting quorum. <br />LIAISON REPORTS <br />Ca eOne Summit: At the annual CapeOne Summitt it was made clear that every town on the Cape is dealing <br />with issues regarding affordable and workforce housing and water quality realizing the importance of sewering <br />and providing affordability in terms of housing. <br />Special Events:, The annual LaTavola, a fundraiser for the Mashpee Chamber scholarship was a noted <br />successful event. <br />Grant Initiatives: Ashley Fisher, the Director of Natural Resources, Catherine Laurent, the Director of Public <br />Works, and Andrew McManus, the Conservation Agent were recognized on their achievements for attaining <br />grant funding the assist with municipal vulnerability, restoration, and clean waters. All grants were achieved <br />in collaboration with the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe. <br />TOWN MANAGER UPDATES <br />Wastewater: The Town Manager is scheduled to meet with GHD, Inc. project engineers to review critical <br />information and deadlines regarding Option #9 of the Phasing Plan of the Town approved Watershed Nitrogen <br />Management Plan to meet the deadline of the SRF application on August 11, 2023. <br />Residential Exertion: Copies of the Town of Provincetown Residential Tax Exemption have been <br />distributed to the Select Board via intermunicipal mail. <br />Housing Assistance Program; The Town Manager is presently conducting dialogue with the Mashpee Housing <br />Authority on behalf of the Affordable Housing Trust to consider the re-establishment of the Housing <br />Assistance Program. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion made by Selectman Sherman to adjourn at 9:35 p.m. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Wyman -Colombo. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman Sherman, yes Selectman Weeden, yes <br />Selectman Wyman -Colombo, yes Opposed, none <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />iw. <br />A / <br />Kathleen M.
