Report of the At the May, 2022 Annual Town Meeting voters <br /> supported 8 new CPC funded projects. Under the <br /> Community Preservation Community Housing category, three projects were <br /> Committee approved: an update to the Housing Production Plan, <br /> roof replacement at Homeyer Village and roof, siding <br /> and windows at Breezy Acres,both Mashpee Housing <br /> To the Honorable Board of Selectmen and the Authority properties. Three Historic Preservation <br /> Citizens of the Town of Mashpee: projects were funded:Lakewood Cemetery restoration, <br /> additional funding for the Mashpee War Monument <br /> At the May 2005 Annual Town Meeting,the Town at the Community Park and HVAC upgrades to the <br /> of Mashpee adopted the provisions of the Community One Room Schoolhouse. Two Open Space and <br /> Preservation Act(CPA) to replace the Cape Cod Open Recreation projects were supported: expansion of the <br /> Space Land Acquisition Program (Land Bank) and community gardens to add 14 additional garden plots <br /> dedicate a 3% property tax surcharge, along with state and renovation of the Mashpee Middle High School <br /> contributions that are made available to the Town of track and field. <br /> Mashpee under the Community Preservation Act,to the <br /> Community Preservation Fund that may be appropriated The Community Preservation Committee did not <br /> receive any applications for the October, 2022 Town <br /> and spent for certain Open Space,Recreation ,Historic <br /> Resource,and Community Housing purposes. Meeting. <br /> The Community Preservation Committee is The Committee realized some changes in <br /> a nine-member committee charged with reviewing memberships in 2022. Select Board Chair David <br /> the needs, possibilities and resources of the Town of Weeden replaced Andrew Gottlieb,who resigned from <br /> Mashpee with regards to community preservation. The the Select Board, as Select Board/Park Commissioner <br /> Community Preservation Committee is responsible representative. The Mashpee Housing Authority <br /> for Community Preservation Fund appropriations appointed Richard Klein, replacing former Housing <br /> and borrowings, making recommendations to Town Authority Commissioner Kevin Shackett,as their CPC <br /> Meeting, the legislative body for the appropriation of Representative. The CPC thanks Mr.Shackett and Mr. <br /> all CPA funds. Gottlieb for their service and commitment to the CPC <br /> and Town of Mashpee. <br /> In support of the Town of Mashpee's wastewater <br /> and clean-water initiative,the Community Preservation The Committee also reorganized in 2022,electing <br /> At Large Member Arden Russell as Chair, At Large <br /> Committee agreed to reduce the annual 3% surcharge <br /> Member Dawn Thayer as Vice Chair and Historic <br /> of the real estate tax levy to 2%, after a vote of Town <br /> Meeting. The 1% reduction is a source of funding Commission Member Brian Hyde as Clerk. <br /> exclusively for the Municipal Water Infrastructure The Community Preservation Committee wishes <br /> Investment Fund(WIIF)to assist with the maintenance, to acknowledge the continued support of the Board <br /> improvements and investments to municipal drinking, of Selectmen, the Town Manager, the Assistant Town <br /> wastewater and stormwater assets. Therefore <br /> additional monies would be available to support Arden Russell, Chair—At Large <br /> community preservation. Dawn Thayer, Vice-Chair—At-Large <br /> Since its inception, Community Preservation Brian Hyde,Clerk—Historical Commission <br /> has funded Affordable Housing Projects totaling Lynne Barbee—At-Large <br /> $2,810,152, Historic Preservation projects totaling Richard Klein—Housing Authority <br /> Ed Larkin—At-Large <br /> $1,575,327, Open Space and Recreation project Chad Smith— Conservation Commission <br /> totaling $8,812,045 and Debt Service of$15,308,603. <br /> Mary Waygan—Planning Board <br /> David Weeden,Select Board/Park Commissioner <br /> 109 <br />
