Report of the Construction for Phase 1 of the Route 151 Corridor <br /> Improvement Project began in Spring 2022. Phase 1 <br /> Department of Public works will extend from approximately 900 feet west of Old <br /> Barnstable Road to the Mashpee Rotary. Lawrence <br /> Lynch Corp.is the contractor for MassDOT. Work will <br /> To the Honorable Board of Selectmen and the include (1) reconfiguration of the intersection at Old <br /> Citizens of the Town of Mashpee: Barnstable Road to include dedicated right, thru, and <br /> left turn lanes on Old Barnstable Road in each direction; <br /> In 2022, the Department of Public Works (2) reconfiguration of the intersection at Frank E. <br /> performed its normal operations for maintaining over Hicks Drive/Job's Fishing Road to include a right <br /> 85 miles of Town roads, over 12 miles of sidewalk/ turn lane from Route l5l onto Job's Fishing Road; (3) <br /> multi-use paths,l5 Town buildings,including the three widening of multi-use path on the north side of Route <br /> schools,and various other properties including but not limited to Heritage Park, Community Park, Attaquin 151 from Old Barnstable Road to Frank E.Hicks Drive <br /> and extension of the path to North Market Street; (4) <br /> Park,South Cape Beach,John's Pond,Transfer Station, construction of a sidewalk on the south side of Route <br /> Great Neck Woods Cemetery,Great River Boat Ramp, 151 from Old Barnstable Road to Job's Fishing Road; <br /> Ockway Bay Boat Ramp, and Edward A. Baker Boat (5) drainage improvements and reconstruction and of <br /> Ramp at Pirate's Cove. The DPW also maintains <br /> the road itself. Construction is being funded through <br /> the entire vehicle and equipment fleet for the Town, the Cape Cod Transportation improvement Program <br /> including not only DPW trucks, heavy equipment, (state and federal monies). Construction will continue <br /> mowers, etc. but also Police Department cruisers, through December 2024, with work stoppage during <br /> Fire Department apparatus, and vehicles/equipment summer months (Memorial Day—Labor Day) as well <br /> from other Town departments. In addition, the DPW as for winter weather(January—February). <br /> continues to assist other Town departments as needed, <br /> including but not limited to the Recreation Department Design for Phase 2 of the project is continuing. <br /> with special events and the Conservation Department This phase extends from Phase 1 to the Mashpee- <br /> with maintenance of properties under their jurisdiction. Falmouth Town Line. It will include (1) extension of <br /> multi-use path on the north side of Route 151 from Old <br /> Below are highlights of several specific activities Barnstable Road to James Circle; (2) construction of <br /> during the past year. a sidewalk on the south side of Route 151 from Old <br /> Road Projects Barnstable Road to Winslow Drive; (3) provision of <br /> Construction associated with conversion of the left-turn lanes at AlZn <br /> gonquin Avenue; (4) provision of a <br /> following private roads to public roads was completed: center turn lane from NinigretAvenue to Old Brickyard <br /> Chestnut Street, Cedar Street, Devon Street, Ash Road; (5) drainage improvements and reconstruction <br /> Street, Hawthorne Street, and Gina's Way. Work is and of the road itself. Design is being funded through <br /> paid by the residents/property owners in the respective Chapter 90. Phase 2 is currently scheduled for <br /> neighborhoods through an up to 20-year betterment. construction in Federal Fiscal Year 2026 through 2027. <br /> Go to the Town's website at https://www.mashi2eema. <br /> Structural review and design for retaining walls gov/public-works/projects/pages/route-151-corridor- <br /> associated with another approved road conversion improvements for more information. <br /> (Oldham Circle)is underway. <br /> A contract was awarded for design/engineering <br /> Drainage improvements were made on Pond for replacement of the traffic signal at Great Neck <br /> Circle in John's Pond Estates in advance of resurfacing Road North/Route 130 with a roundabout. The Select <br /> in Spring 2023. As mentioned in the FY21 annual Board voted on 12/6/21 to proceed with the project <br /> report, John's Pond Estates will be the neighborhood after review of conceptual plans. Design will continue <br /> focus for resurfacing over the next few budget years. through 2023. <br /> The work was funded through the DPW Operational <br /> Budget(FY23). The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe received a <br /> grant for survey/design from the Federal Highway <br /> Drainage repairs were made in the Seabrook Administration's Tribal Transportation Program <br /> Estates neighborhood. The work was funded through Safety Program for drainage, pedestrian, and road <br /> the DPW Operational Budget(FY22-FY23) improvements on Old Barnstable Road. Conceptual <br /> plans for two alternates were presented to the Select <br /> 156 <br />
