Article 14: CPC Expenses The CPA legislation provides that 5% of the funds collected can be used for administrative, auditing, legal, engineering, or other associated costs incidental to the administration and oversight functions of the CPC. 'This Article requests approval to transfer$25,000 to the CPC Administrative and Operating Expense Account to cover the committee's secretarial support and other related expenses, The adoption of the Community Preservation Act provides municipalities, like Mashpee, the opportunity to fund on a"pay as you go basis" capital projects which would otherwise be deferred, not considered, or require long term debt financing to implement. The approval of these projects will neither affect the FY '08 budget, nor will it have an affect on the 2007 property tax rate. While each Article will be voted individually, the FINANCE co" miTTEE RECOMMENDS TOWN MEETING APPROVAL OF ARTICLES 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14. The second portion of the meeting is called the ANNUAL TOWN MEETING and addresses town business having to do with the upcoming Fiscal Year(2008) which begins on July 1, 200 7 and will end on June 30, 2008.
