11 <br />Select Board <br />Minutes <br />March 18, 2024 <br />ADDITIONAL TOPICS <br />ComunitµDeveloment Block Grant_ Discussion &ITPossiblevAction <br />Motion made by Selectman Sherman to place the above topic on the agenda as it was not reasonably <br />anticipated to be discussed. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br />VOTE: 4-0. Unanimous. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes Selectman Sherman, yes <br />Selectman Wyman -Colombo, yes Opposed, none <br />A requirement of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) due for submission on March 23, 2024 is <br />to authorize a contingency that would enable the Select Board through its Town Manager to have the authority <br />to grant funds as an alternative to the CDBG funds if the grant funds are not readily available for use. <br />A component of the CDBG grant requests funding for housing rehabilitation including connection to sewer <br />lines for eligible residents. A contingency would reserve funds for essential situations. <br />Motion made by Selectman Sherman to authorize the Town Manager to administer funds under a <br />contingency to be established under the CDBG grant application. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br />VOTE: 4-0. Tickets are available until Wednesday for the event planned to <br />begin at 5:30 p.m. <br />ZITAIJL`iV / .Tl ��11 9 17_r Y 9f.� <br />Bois_& Girls Club: Information received from State Representative David Vieira indicate the Town is <br />authorized to continue the lease of land to the Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod. <br />
