N <br />Select Board <br />Minutes <br />March 18, 2024 <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Discussion...... and A_ llroval of Draft 43w of the Maw 6, 2024 .Special & mAnnual Town Meeting_Warrant <br />Articles (continued) <br />Annual Town, Meetm <br />Article #5: To re -purpose the appropriation and borrowing authorization for capital improvements <br />previously approved for the Police Department HVAC and DPW Roof Replacement in order to <br />fund the DPW Masonry Wall Restoration; $80,000 and the Police Station Design/Engineering; <br />$2,700,000. <br />The article requires approval of a corresponding Proposition 2 I/2 debt exclusion ballot question at the May 11, <br />2024 Annual Town Election. <br />Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve and recommend Article #5 as presented. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br />VOTE: 4-0. Unanimous. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes Selectman Sherman, yes <br />Selectman Wyman -Colombo, yes Opposed, none <br />Article #6: To re -authorize and extend by three years, the authority to use $350,000 from the Capital <br />Stabilization Fund for the resurfacing of the MMHS parking lot. The project was delayed due to <br />the solar canopy project. <br />Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve and recommend Article #6 as presented. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br />VOTE: 4-0. Unanimous. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes Selectman Sherman, yes <br />Selectman Wyman -Colombo, yes Opposed, none <br />Article #7: To re -purpose the remaining sum of $130,000, monies previously voted to fund the construction <br />required to customize the Department of Natural Resources building on Mercantile Way, in order <br />to design and construct a yard next to the Fire Substation on Red Brook Road for exterior storage <br />and the maintenance of boats and other equipment owned by the DNR. <br />Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve and recommend Article #7 as presented. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Wyman -Colombo. <br />VOTE: 4-0.
