SJ ecial &: Annual Town Meeting Warrant <br />Articles: (continued) <br />Article # 14: To appropriate funds for the Chapter 90 road improvement program —HELD <br />Deferred for monetary amount. <br />Article #21: To grant an easement to Eversource Energy to provide the 380 Asher's Path property with <br />electric utilities. This is associated to the wastewater project. <br />Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve and recommend the Annual Town Meeting Article to <br />grant an easement to Eversource Energy as presented. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Wyman -Colombo. <br />VOTE: 5-0. Unanimous. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman Sherman, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br />Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Wyman -Colombo, yes Opposed, none <br />Article #25: To appropriate $150,000 from the Waterways Improvement Fund to the <br />Engineering/Permitting/Dredging and Associated Expenses Account to fund projects such as the <br />annual dredging of the Popponesset Approach Channel and other dredging projects managed by <br />the Harbormaster and the Department of Natural Resources. <br />Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve and recommend the Annual Town Meeting Article to <br />appropriate $150,000 for waterways projects such as dredging. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Weeden. <br />VOTE: 5-0. Unanimous. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman Sherman, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br />Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Wyman -Colombo, yes Opposed, none <br />LIAISON REPORTS <br />Chamber of Commerce: The Annual meeting of the Chamber of Commerce will be held on Wednesday, <br />March 27, 2024 at the Club in New Seabury from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Chamber will reorganize and <br />awards will be given to the Citizen of the Year and Unsung Heroes. <br />EOC Meeting: At the last Environmental Oversight meeting additional language was unanimously <br />recommended to be included in the Housing Production Plan (HPP). This includes additional language for <br />equitable housing in a balanced approach as well as recognizing the impacts to the environment. <br />JBCC: There has been ongoing discussions on the State level regarding the use of Joint Base Cape Cod for <br />affordable housing. The Town of Bourne is planning to develop an RFP for housing hopefully prioritizing <br />affordable housing for veterans and the workforce on Cape Cod. <br />
