Select Board <br />Minutes <br />April 29, 2024 <br />APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br />Annual Master GardenersPlantSale Tem ora Sisin Permit only Tonia St Germain: <br />.. <br />A total of (10) 18x24" ground signs are planned to announce the Annual Master Gardeners Plant Sale <br />from May 11, 2024 through May 18, 2024. <br />Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve the Temporary Sign Permit Application to <br />announce the Annual Master Gardeners Plant Sale. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Wyman -Colombo. <br />VOTE: 5-0. Unanimous. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes Selectman Sherman, yes <br />Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Wyman -Colombo, yes Opposed, none <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Ken Debrowski, Great Field Landing discussed the economics of wastewater funding. <br />Bob Orsi a resident of Uncle Edwards Road commented on the Raise and Replace Bylaw. Mr. Orsi <br />requested the Town identify a liaison for Popponesset to be better informed and to gain an understanding <br />of mutual concerns. <br />John Malloy,Wading Place Road echoed the need for a working relationship with all town boards on <br />significant issues that significantly impact Popponesset and the Mashpee community. Recently a letter of <br />concern was submitted to the Conservation Commission, and there has been no response to date. Any <br />feedback from the Select Board would be greatly appreciated. <br />Tim Gildea also stated he would like to see more engagement through the Select Board, and its <br />committees on Town matters. <br />J. Marie Stevenson, Sampsons Mill Road expressed appreciation to the Select Board for rescheduling their <br />meeting in observance of Passover. In other matters Ms. Stevenson commented on the proposed <br />Wampanoag homesite and the heartwarming support received at the last town meeting. Although there are <br />obtacles crucial to the success of this project, it is hopeful the Select Board would thread the needle and <br />come to a decision to move this project forward. <br />Anita Atkinson stated that she is present on behalf of Colton Atkinson who recently submitted an <br />application to the Community Preservation Committee for a feasibility study on trailway improvements in <br />the Mashpee Wildlife Refuge. Mr. Atkinson will be present at the Mashpee Library this Friday from noon <br />until closing to answer questions and receive input on this project proposal. <br />Although she was unable to attend this meeting Ava Costello sent a note that was read into the record in <br />support of the twelve acre site proposal. Ms. Costello stated in her memo that it is believed the concerns <br />can be ironed out by our good will. This project will help the Mashpee community to heal, and it is of <br />historical and educational benefit to help preserve the Mashpee culture and its history. <br />
