Christine Willander, Mary Bradbury, Ebony Steele, Lynne Barbee, <br /> Gail Wilson, Director of Human Services <br /> CALL TO ORDER: 11:04 am <br /> As there is no Chair or Vice Chair of the Committee, Director Wilson will chair this <br /> meeting as Pro Tern Chair <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT. none <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Review of Minutes from January 21, 2022 <br /> motion to approve by Willander, second by Steele, unanimous vote <br /> Review Updated Committee By-Laws <br /> minor edit: Article VI: Meetings, Section B Quorums <br /> "Meetings will be held with a quorum of four (4) members participating or <br /> less if the Committee has a vacancy." <br /> motion to move proposed by-law to the next step in the process, by Bradbury, <br /> second by Barbee, unanimous <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Membership of Committee <br /> No one volunteered to be Chair. At the next meeting we will elect a Vice Chair, <br /> Barbee remains Clerk <br /> Awaiting confirmation of Select Board representative <br /> Director's Report <br /> The Substance Use Task Force received approval from the Town Manager to Pilot a <br /> Virtual Drop-In on the first Tuesday of the month from Noon to 2:00pm. The Task <br /> Force now has a representative to fill the Gosnold sector, Daniel Rodrigues, Director <br /> of Substance Use Disorder Services, Duffy Health Center. <br /> Several Mental Health requests, residents looking for help with housing and <br /> counseling. Residents looking for support from the Veterans services, referred to <br /> Greg Quilty, Barnstable County Veterans Services. <br /> The new Barnstable County Human Services Director, Joseph Pacheco requested <br /> a meeting to learn about the Department and discuss emerging trends. The discussion <br /> focused on the need for more focus on mental health resources for children. <br /> ADDITIONAL TOPICS <br /> Mary Bradbury reports that she's hearing from lots of families that they are on their "last nerve" <br /> with close contact and quarantine issues and single moms are dealing with custody issues. <br /> Lynne Barbee reports that the town will be doing a new Local Comprehensive Plan, and town <br /> committees will have input.
