0 <br />Select Board <br />Minutes <br />July 15, 2024 <br />APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS <br />Discussion and Possible Action on Articles of the October 21, 2024Town wwMeetin Warrant Draft 41 <br />Chairman Sherman recommended the Select Board defer review and possible action on the Articles of the <br />October 21, 2024 Warrant to the next meeting. <br />Motion made by Selectman Weeden to table the review of the October Warrant to the next meeting. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Wyman -Colombo. <br />VOTE: 5-0. Unanimous. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Sherman, yes Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Wyman -Colombo, yes <br />Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes Opposed, none <br />WATER QUALITY UPDATES <br />Water ualt�Monitorn� Prorarn With regards to the Water Quality Monitoring Program, it was <br />recommended Eduard Eichner of the Coastal Systems Program, School of Marine Science and Technology <br />(SMAST) at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth be contacted regarding the updated report of diagnostic <br />studies and management thereof within 30 days if possible. <br />Environmental Oversight Committee: The EOC is seeking to transition the Mashpee/Wakeby Pond Committee <br />to the Fresh Water Committee to eliminate the need to create a fresh water committee for each pond in Mashpee. <br />Proposed 4911 Development in the Totivn of Sandwich: <br />With regards to the Village Green 40B project in the Town of Sandwich, the primary issue of concern is the <br />requested waiver of the permit for wastewater. This action would impact Mashpee/Wakeby Pond and the <br />Intermunicipal Agreement (IMA) between the respective towns. It was recommended the Town Manager <br />discuss this concern with the Town of Sandwich to ensure the waters are duly protected. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion made by Selectman Cotton to adjourn at 7:24 p.m. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br />VOTE: 5-0.
