5 <br />Select Board <br />Minutes <br />May 20, 2024 <br />APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br />Public Hearin New Annual Wine and Malt „Beverages Alcohol License Uva Wine ,Bar 2, 4 Market <br />Street: Katharine Tharer,m Manager: Discussion and A rroval of New Annual Wine and Malt Beverages Alcohol <br />License, Uva Wine Bar 2, Market Street: Katharine ThAyer, Manager: <br />The Select Board opened the Public Hearing by reading aloud the notice on the application of Uva Wine Bar 2, for <br />a New Annual Wine and Malt Beverages Restaurant License, 4 Market Street, Mashpee, Katharine Thayer, <br />Manager. The premise is described as 1,437 square feet on one level. The space includes a kitchen, dining area <br />with seating for 32 customers, 2 restrooms and an office. Additional outdoor seasonal seating will accommodate <br />up to 29 additional patrons. <br />Katharine Thayer, Manager was in attendance with Michelle Manware co-owner to discuss the proposed operation <br />of this business with the Select Board, the Local Licensing Authority for the Town of Mashpee. <br />Uva 2 would offer 48 wines from around the world. This wine is dispensed using a smart card (monitored by an <br />employee) and Napa Technology's Wine Stations to dispense the wine in 2-ounce, 4-ounce and 6-ounce pours. <br />The customer cannot access more than 18-ounces per hour. This is a unique concept currently offered at the Uva <br />Wine Bar in Plymouth, MA. <br />There was concern with respect to ADA compliance and for the protection of patrons to be seated within the <br />proposed outdoor area. It was requested the applicant situate adequate barriers for protection, and present a <br />schematic. rendering toscale, for the_ Town's. record. <br />Being no further comment, the Select Board motioned as follows; <br />Motion made by Selectman Sherman to close the Public Hearing. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Wyman -Colombo. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes Selectman Sherman, yes <br />Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Wyman -Colombo, yes Opposed, none <br />Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve the application of Uva Wine Bar Zfor a New Annual" Wine <br />and Malt Beverages Restaurant License, 4 Market Street, Mashpee, Katharine Thayer, Manager with the <br />following conditions; the Fire Department, Board of Health and Building Commission inspect the outdoor <br />space for protection purposes, and to retain a scaled schematic rendering of the site on record. <br />Motin seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br />VaTE. Unanimous. 5-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes Selectman Sherman, yes <br />Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Wyman -Colombo, yes Opposed, none <br />
