10 <br />Select Board <br />Minutes <br />September 9, 2024 <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Discussion -and Possible Action on Articles of the October 21 2024 Town Meeting„, Warrant Draft #4: (continued) <br />Article 2: CPC — Acquisition of 475 Nathan Ellis Highway; $2.8 million; Appraised Value <br />CPC recommendation to approve by a vote of 8-0 with favorable review from the Town's Assistant <br />Conservation Agent: The property is important for environmental protection with a dock to be <br />used by the Harbormaster. <br />Motion made by Selectman Weeden to approve and recommend Article 2 as presented. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Wyman -Colombo. <br />w _.VOTE: 4-0. Unanimous. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Sherman, yes Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Wyman -Colombo, yes <br />Selectman Cotton, yes Opposed, none <br />Article 3: CPC — Acquisition of Gooseberry Island <br />It was noted the application was late -filed. An appraisal has been authorized, but not received. <br />Negotiations have not moved forward to date. <br />Motion made by Selectman Cotton to remove Article 3 from the October Warrant. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Wyman -Colombo. <br />VOTE: 4-0. Collins recommended removal of Article 5, 6 and 7 as funding sources have been <br />identified, and are clearly defined and anticipated to move forward. <br />Article 5: To fund a study of the siting of wastewater facilities for nitrogen reduction; Waquoit Bay watershed. <br />Motion made by Selectman Weeden to remove Article 5 from the October Warrant as recommended. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br />VOTE: 4-0.
