7 <br />Select Board <br />Minutes <br />September 9, 2024 <br />APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br />Shollfish_Constahle Christopher Avis: <br />b. Discussion and Approval of the t b, ster Restoration Project ,inHamblin's Pond: <br />Motion made by Selectman Cotton to continue all Shellfish Constable discussions part a and part b to <br />Monday, November 18, 2024. <br />Motion smonded by Selectman Wyman -Colombo, <br />VOTE: 4-0. Unanimous. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Sherman, yes Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Wyman -Colombo, yes <br />Selectman Cotton, yes Opposed, none <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Chris Ball; Mashpee TV commented on the upcoming change of channels from standard definition to high <br />definition (HD). The new channel 1072 is anticipated to be ready by next week for Comcast viewers. A Comcast <br />X1 box is required and can be obtained free of charge through Comcast. Channel 8 will be available for a limited <br />time for those who do not have the required box. <br />Matt Haney indicated that an email dated September 6, 2024 was transmitted to the Select Board regarding the <br />acquisition of Gooseberry Island. A revised draft article was submitted for review. <br />Lynne Barbee a member of the Community Preservation Committee indicated that she was present on behalf of the <br />CPC Chair to discuss any questions regarding the CPC articles. It was noted the Assistant Conservation Agent has <br />reviewed the article regarding the proposed acquisition of 475 Nathan Ellis Highway favorably. <br />Interview, Discussion and A pproyal of the Following AiIomtments m As leer Select Bwoard Pohcw 001 <br />Conservation Commission µMember at -Lame: Richard Sahl (Term Expires June 30, 2025,. <br />The Select Board met with Richard Sahl to review his interest in serving as a full member of the Conservation <br />Commissian in accord with Policy Na, QO1. Mr, Sahl has attended all meetings since his-ppaintrrtent as Associate <br />Member and has favorable recommendations for this appointment. <br />It was suggested Mr. Sahl consider attending training programs with respect to this position. <br />Motion made by Selectman Cotton to appoint Richard Sabi to the Conservation Commission as a Member <br />At -Large for a term to expire; June 30, 2025. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Wyman -Colombo. <br />VOTE: 4-0.
