Town of Mashpee
ic, ieta 16 Great Neck Road North.
r g Mashpee, MA 02649
Minutes of Meeting
Design Review Committee
Tuesday, September 17, 2024
Mashpee Town Hall Waquoit Meeting Room
Design Review Committee Members Present: Dave Morris, Karen Faulkner, and
Jonathan Furbush.
Dave called the meeting to order at 8:30 am.
NEW HEARINGS
8:30 am Project Address: 340 Main St.
Business name: Kids Cargo
Agent/Owner: David Braga
Request: A roadside sign 50" x 55.5", and a sign front of building 10" x 60".
Mr. Braga is requesting two (2) signs for his toy store business that consists of a roadside
sign, and a store front sign above the entrance door. The roadside sign posts are wooden
and installed in the same location as the previous business sign. He said the roadside sign is
a hand-carved wooden material that is black and gold color with a fine red trim line and is two
sided. He would like to install two low line bushes on each side of the wooden posts. The
lighting will be ground-mounted and will illuminate only toward the sign.
Mr. Morris stated that the bushes cannot be over 30 inches in height so will not cause sight
obstruction. The sign posts need to be 5 ft. from the road.
Ms. Faulkner confirmed that the size of the sign is 20 sq. ft. and the sign above the door is 5
ft. long and 10 inches high, and looks good.
Mr. Furbush said that the lighting must not spill onto abutting properties. He had no other
comments.
An application is required with the Historical Committee. Mr. Morris said that he will confirm
with the DPW regarding the roadside sign posts.
There were no more comments.
