07 <br /> Town of Mashpee Sewer Commission <br /> sw <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> Chair's Report <br /> Chair Harris is looking forward to the WRRF opening and being ready to take flow and work towards <br /> making the waterways better. She spoke to the surrounding communities also working together in a joint <br /> effort as well as grass routes groups such as Mr. Nair mentioned as part of his interview. <br /> Chair Harris reported new progress on Santuit Pond boat ramp. There was a huge grant given to the Tribe <br /> and Department of Natural Resources to work on the boat ramp. There has also been a design for the <br /> Mashpee-Wakeby boat ramp. She referenced lots of ways and areas of cleaning up the waters and being <br /> continuously viligent. She also shared that she had been contacted by a group of realtors and was <br /> requested to provide a presentation to help them better understand wastewater treatment. <br /> Wastewater Superintendent Update <br /> • Subcommittee Policy Review <br /> No update. <br /> • Phase 2 Public Outreach <br /> Mr. Meader introduced his idea of a public outreach program after receipt of the 60%complete <br /> drawings as it relates to Phase 2. Possible locations would be either the library or senior center and <br /> offer sessions at a few different times to allow residents to ask questions and hear general information. <br /> Mr. Meader mentioned a tour of the plant that was recently done with Mashpee TV that can be found <br /> on YouTube (,Ih. Frs://nr nrena y tau !2! / g.!�g�_?�r..:::IPl zJZtckIP ). The intent is to do more in the future. <br /> Mr. Meader informed the Commission that there was a perk test with DEP for the additional sand beds <br /> that will be added in Phase 2. He said it went well and everything was very positive. Mr. Meader stated <br /> that he spoke to the DEP representative about adding data loggers as another means of collecting data <br /> and that the DEP confirmed having this data would speed up the process with day to day reads. This is <br /> an approach that will have further discussions with the DEP. <br /> Mr. Meader stated that the IMA group meeting had been pushed to the following week and that he <br /> would inquire about the land purchase in Sandwich.
