Select Board <br />Minutes <br />December 2, 2024 <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Interview Discussion and Possible At) )ointment of Town Constable (Term Exl)rres June 30., 2027i <br />Paul Coronella Sr.: <br />The Select Board met with Mashpee resident Paul Coronella, Sr. to review his interest in serving as a Town <br />Constable. Mr. Coronella has the qualifications to meet the eligibility requirements as outlined in Select <br />Board Policy No. 030. This includes prior law enforcement experience in Mashpee as well as fire <br />arms training and security service. <br />Motion made by Selectman Cotton to appoint Paul Coronella, Sr. as a Constable in the Town of <br />Mashpee with a term to expire; June 30, 2027. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br />VOTE: 5-0. Unanimous. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Sherman, yes Selectman Weeden, yes <br />Selectman Wyman -Colombo, yes Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br />Opposed, none <br />Introduction of Mashpgp _Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Stephanie Viva: <br />Stephanie Viva, the new Mashpee Chamber of Commerce Executive Director made an introduction to the <br />respective Town Manager's and Select Board. Ms. Viva, a Mashpee resident has raised <br />children in the school system and has served on the Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod board. <br />Ms. Viva in discussing the importance of fostering the business community indicated that she is <br />energized and enthusiastic in taking upon a new role in the Town of Mashpee. As the Town moves forward <br />with the upcoming holiday season all Town Departments were invited to participate in the parade <br />planned to be held in Mashpee Commons on December 14, 2024. The Mashpee Rotary was deemed <br />spectacular this year and a highlight for "those who live and visit Mashpee during the winter months. <br />Town Manager Rodney C. Collins acknowledged the Recreation Director Mary Bradbury and her <br />department as well as Catherine Laurent, the DPW Director and her team who supplied diligence and the <br />manpower for the holiday display. <br />In closing Ms. Viva indicated that many businesses have invested in the Town of Mashpee and are here to <br />stay. New companies are also establishing their roots in the community. <br />
