<br />Ashley Fisher, Water OtWity Coordinator was in attendance to recommend [lie Select Board award a
<br />contract to SMAST, UMass Darb.110LIth fbr the Ashuniet Pond N ittrient Inactivation Treatment, Phase I
<br />The contract will adhere to as strict timeline of three years. Funding is derived through the COMMUnity
<br />,I-) reservation Fund with as 50% cost share provided by the Air Force Civil Engineering Center.
<br />Two bids were received in response to a Request for Pt-oposal, The School of Marine Scieiice and
<br />Technollogy Coastal Systems lit Ograrn (SMAST) is recommended for their extensive experience and for the
<br />ability to condUCt the work in-house,
<br />Motion made by Selectman Weeden to accept the recommendation of the Water Qnality Coordinator
<br />and award as contract to SMAST for the Ashnmet Pond Nutrient Inactivation Treatment.
<br />Motion seconded by Selectman OHara.

<br />It was disclosed that Contract #2 -- North Collection ystern to Robert 13. Our (.",01TIpany (RBO) is complete
<br />and is under its one-year warranty period, Contract #3 — SOUth C'011CC6011 SyStUn, ir[C]Uding two pump
<br />stations to RBO is ready to complete however, it is impacted by Contract # 1.

<br />It was noted that [ 0% is req aired of the design load to stistain the process, It is anticipated that, 10% or
<br />more ofthe.phase I flow WOUld be achieved by June 2025. 1"his would include the ushers Path connection,
<br />two condorniniurns, and single-fianiily homes in the subject area.
<br />A packet ofstep-by-step, procedures, costs, a contractor list, required inspections,, the abandonment of old
<br />septic systents, etc, will be sent to the owners to simplify the process and assist in identifying cost savings.
