MINUTES Ouly 6, 1989 3 BOARD O1= HEALTH <br /> APPOINTMENT: Warwick & Associates - Variance request, 37 Monahansett Road <br /> { Ms. Susan Asmus was in attendance representing Warwick & Associates. <br /> Ms. Asmus informed the Board in order to upgrade the system from a cess- <br /> pool to a Title system four variances are required. Mr. Asmus explained <br /> they are proposing a systems which would be 13' from the leach field to the <br /> foundation, 4' from the leach field to the property line, 5' from the septic <br /> tank to the property line and 67' from the leaching field to the wooded swamp. <br /> Ms. Asmus informed the Board all immediate abutters are receiving High Wood <br /> Water, as well as , the owner of this lot. <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated he will have to verify this with the High Wood Water <br /> Company. <br /> Ms. Asmus stated 'the Conservation Commission has verified the wetlands <br /> delineation and is currently awaiting Board of Health approval . Ms. Asmus <br /> commented if -the reserved line is utilized the water line would be relocated. <br /> Mr. McQuaid recommended the primary and reserve be installed at the same <br /> time with a bull-run valve. <br /> Mr. Greelish questionsed Ms. Asmus as to what the structure of the exist- <br /> ing foundation wall is. <br /> Ms. Asmus responded the foundation is a crawl-space and the proposed <br /> addition will also be crawl-space. <br /> Mr. Greelish motioned to grant the Variances as requested with the <br /> stipulation the primary and reserve are installed at the same time with <br /> a bull-run valve and the water line is relocated, Mr. Doherty seconded, <br /> all agreed. <br /> APPOINTMENT: Enid Mendelson - Request to install washing machine <br /> Ms. Mendelson and Mr. George Twomey were in attendance for this sche- <br /> duled appointment. <br /> Mr. Costa explained to Mr. Twomey that he was in attendance at the time <br /> conditions were set prior to plan approval . <br /> Mr. Twomey stated he did install M.D.C. drains as requested and explained <br /> Ms. Mendelson 's use would be limited. Mr. Twomey stated drainage would be <br /> thru the grease trap. <br /> Mr. Greelish explained to Ms. Mendelson that her business is considered <br /> commercial and the use would be defined as commercial . <br /> Mr. Costa informed Ms. Mendelson this is D.E.Q.E. 's interpretation and <br /> reminded Ms. Mendelson and Mr. Twomey the area has been designated a well <br /> water re-charge area. <br /> Mr. McQuaid stated he suggested to Mr. Mendelson that he substantiate <br /> in writing D.E.Q.E' s approval of their request and commented in speaking -with <br />
