The algae bloom in Santuit Pond just crashed with visibility over 6 feet.
Visibility in the recent summers is usually only a foot or two.

Old Business –

Quahog Relays: Vernon Pocknett – The Mashpee Tribe has funding to
relay 200 bushels of quahogs. Peter Thomas – When? Pocknett – Anytime.
The area would have to be closed until September 2012. Thomas – Where?
Pocknett – The east point of Gooseberry Island or in Ockway Bay. Thomas –
What permits are needed? York – It would be under the Town of Mashpee
shellfish propagation permit from DMF. Enforcement would be a problem
because the high density of contaminated quahogs can be illegally dug up
quickly. We can continue discussions at future meetings.

Waquoit Bay Town Line: We are working on getting cost estimates to
survey the Town Line.

08:20 hrs Adjournment
Respectfully submitted,

Richard York
Shellfish Commission Secretary
