There was discussion about touring the Trout Pond parcel. Ms. Waygan will contact Mr. Storrs
about possibly scheduling a walk on February 26. Mr. Balzarini recommended placing an ad to
generate more interest. Ms. Waygan stated that Mr. Storrs had expressed concern regarding the
topography of the area and that it was more tranquil closer to the street due to the elevations.

Park Facilities and Amenities
Mr. Fudala pointed out that the Mashpee Commons Plans utilize existing sidewalks and parks, with
no new space but recommended consideration of the green space between the church and Whitings
Road area, if permission could be acquired from the Housing Authority. Mr. Kooharian stated that
there were a number of green spaces and not all activity would need to be located at the green
across from the library. There was also discussion about offering winter time skating. Mr. Fudala
suggested looking at the kettle hole behind the church for skating, adding that the cranberry bogs
were likely not an option since they had conservation restrictions. Mr. Balzarini suggested offering
kayak rentals. Mr. Balzarini also inquired about the liability on the trails but Mr. Fudala stated that
most trails proposed by Mr. Storrs were existing trails.

Mr. Fudala inquired about ideas for the eyebrow space located at Jobs Fishing Road. Mr. Balzarini
expressed concern about traffic in the area. Mr. Fudala stated that there would be a pedestrian
crossing. Mr. Kooharian suggested thinking creatively about what could be featured at the location,
such as a fitness site or benches. Mr. Fudala also highlighted a green space along Route 151 with a
bike path running through it.

Funding, Ownership and Maintenance

ADJOURNMENT
Ms. Waygan stated that the next step would be to participate in the site walk. There was some
discussion about the feasibility of the Children’s Museum being located in the Trout Pond area. Mr.
Fudala noted that an area had been cleared that had been considered for the Boch facility and
sewerage treatment. Mr. Fudala noted that there had also been discussion about locating the
Congregational Church at the site. Ms. Waygan will contact Mr. Storrs about the site walk and
confirm with attendees by email. There was discussion about another Subcommittee meeting but
Ms. Waygan responded that she would make a determination of when that would be.

MOTION: Mr. Balzarini made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Kooharian seconded the motion.
All voted unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 8:25 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Jennifer M.
