I <br /> MINUTES July 8, 1993 2 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> APPOINTMENT: John Ryan - Transfer Station Incident <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "Mr. Ryan did request to postpone <br /> this appointment until the next regularly scheduled meeting. " <br /> "He did indicate he will not utilize the Transfer <br /> Station/Landfill any longer and proceeded to describe his ap- <br /> praisal of Mr. DiMaggio's attitude. " "Mr. Ryan's mailing ad- <br /> dress is Osterville, MA based on his car registration <br /> number. " "There is a John A. Ryan listed on our tax records <br /> who does own property in town." "I am unsure as to whether <br /> this is the same individual." <br /> Mr. Ball motioned to revoke the Transfer <br /> Station/Landfill residential sticker issued to John A. Ryan <br /> and directed the agent to inform Mr. Ryan he is to appear in <br /> person to this office with his vehicle at which time the <br /> sticker will be removed by an agent of this Board, failure to <br /> do so will result in a $300.00 fine, Mr. Greelish seconded, <br /> all agreed. <br /> Mr. Greelish directed Mr. McQuaid to inform the Town <br /> Clerk's office that Mr. Ryan is not to be issued a 1994 <br /> Transfer Station/Landfill residential sticker. " <br /> FOR DISCUSSION: <br /> I <br /> A. ) Joint Selectmen's meeting 7/12/93 re: Regional Plant - <br /> Acknowledged. <br /> B. ) Meeting w/D.E.P. re: Lagoons - Mr. Greelish relayed, <br /> "A meeting was held with D.E.P. in regards to closing of the <br /> lagoons. " "D.E.P will be forwarding a letter stating the <br /> town must close the lagoons. " "We will be allotted a time <br /> frame in which to present a reasonable plan for closure. " <br /> C. ) Recycling agreement - Mr. Doherty stepped down from <br /> this discussion as he found it to be a conflict of interest. <br /> Mr. Greelish relayed, "I spoke with Mr. Paltz regarding <br /> the recycling contract." "It was Mr. Paltz's impression that <br /> Mashpee had decided not to pursue the contract but rather go <br /> out to bid. " "Representatives of B.F.I. were disgruntled <br /> with the idea of Mashpee going out to bid as their position <br /> would then become public." "I questioned Mr. Paltz as to <br /> their intention. " "My impression was they will challenge the <br /> bid. " "The bottom line was it was his impression that there <br /> was no discussion, the issue was dead. " "I informed him I <br /> did not believe that to be correct. " <br /> Mr. Ball stated, "In my opinion we should go out to <br /> bid."
