MINUTES July 15, 1993 3 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> At this time Mr. Edward Pesce joined this discussion <br /> Discussion took place regarding the meeting scheduled <br /> for August 5, 1993 . <br /> Mr. Pesce recommended Board members contact Mr. Santos <br /> and request the issue of John's Pond be placed on the Task <br /> Force Agenda. <br /> Mr. Doherty recommended Mr. Santos also request repre- <br /> sentatives from Oak Ridge and U.C.L.A. attend the meeting. <br /> APPOINTMENT: Kathleen Perry - Transfer Station Sticker <br /> Mr. Perry was in attendance for this scheduled appoint- <br /> ment. <br /> Ms. Perry relayed, "I an a widow and have three summer <br /> cottages. " "The cottages are rented out in July and August <br /> only. " "Previously my daughter has lived with me and has a <br /> small pickup truck. " "The second sticker was always placed <br /> on her truck. " "Now my daughter has married and lives in <br /> Falmouth however, I still require her help to maintain the <br /> cottages. " "My daughter's husband has a Falmouth sticker so <br /> there is no question of their disposing of their own trash in <br /> Falmouth. " "I am requesting the Board permit the second <br /> sticker to be issued to my daughter. " <br /> Mr. Ball motioned to issue a secondary sticker to Ms. <br /> Perry's daughter as requested, Mr. Greelish seconded, all <br /> agreed. <br /> APPOINTMENT: Richard Slein - 428 Monomoscoy Road <br /> Mr. Slein was in attendance for this scheduled appoint- <br /> ment. <br /> Mr. Slein and Mr. Fordham were in attendance for this <br /> scheduled appointment. <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "Mr. Slein is a Registered Sanitar- <br /> ian retired from D.E.P. . " "Mr. Fordham is proposing to vol- <br /> untarily upgrade his existing septic system to meet Title V <br /> requirements. " "Groundwater is a factor. " "I met with both <br /> gentlemen at the site. " "Mr. Slein has proposed several <br /> plans. " "One a gravity flow where there would not be 4' of <br /> naturally occurring soil between the bottom of the leaching <br /> facility and groundwater. " "Another alternative is to in- <br /> stall a pump system. " <br /> Mr. Slein stated, "The house was build in the late <br /> 19501's on an existing slab which is very close to ground- <br />
