MINUTES August 12, 1993 8 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr. Greelish motioned to grant the variances as stated <br /> by Mr. McQuaid, Mr. Ball seconded, all agreed. <br /> Briarwood - Public water hookup <br /> Mr. Greelish relayed, "It has been determined some of <br /> the remaining private wells in Briarwood are definitely lo- <br /> cated within the contaminated plume. " "It is a clearly de- <br /> fined health risk." "This Board must enforce the moratorium <br /> and request a meeting with the Water Commissioner's to dis- <br /> cuss financial aid. " "We should contact Town Counsel to dis- <br /> cuss legal proceedings for public water hookup. " "I would <br /> recommend we contact the news media to announce our inten- <br /> tions and request public input.
