4-- M <br /> MINUTES September 2, 1993 3 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> APPOINTMENT: Cape & Islands - 138 Ninigret <br /> Mr. John Slavinsky was in attendance for this scheduled <br /> appointment. There were no abutters in attendance. <br /> Mr. Slavinsky relayed, "The owner is proposing to add a <br /> foundation to the existing dwelling. " "Town water will be <br /> available in one month. " "We are proposing to upgrade the <br /> existing system." "The owner does not propose to increase <br /> the habitable space." <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "Should the owner tie into town wa- <br /> ter there will still be significant variances to Title V from <br /> the two abutters. " "We are allowing him to raise the house <br /> and put in a full foundation which is increasing the living <br /> space and increasing septic flow from his new Title V system <br /> and yet the two abutters are 57' and 82' away. " <br /> Mr. Greelish commented, "The abutters have been notified <br /> and we will not allow any increase in habitable space. " <br /> Discussion took place regarding public water hookup in <br /> the area. <br /> Mr. Greelish recommended continuing this variance re- <br /> quest pending Mr. Griffins attendance at an upcoming meeting. <br /> Mr. Doherty agreed. <br /> (This variance request will be continued for two weeks. ) <br /> 6. ) Copy of Otis Wastewater Draft Discharge Permit - Ac- <br /> knowledged. <br /> j 7. ) Emergency failure certifications - 48 Santuit Lane 16 <br /> Jeep Place and 9 Running Light Way <br /> 48 SANTUIT LANE - Mr. McQuaid relayed, "I inspected the site <br /> and found the cesspool full. " <br /> Board members forwarded their signatures to the "Emer- <br /> gency Repair Certification" form. <br /> 16 JEEP PLACE - Mr. Evans relayed, "Upon inspection the <br /> cesspool was found to be full. " "The design will be revised <br /> as three abutters maintain private wells. " <br /> Mr. McQuaid commented, "This is an improvement on the <br /> distances from the existing failed cesspool to the proposed <br /> new Title V. "' "The owners have signed the affidavit that <br /> prohibits any increase in habitable space." <br />
