MINUTES February t7, 1994 8 BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> Mr. Greelish questioned Mr. McQuaid as to the number of <br /> days Mr. Halpern was in violation. " <br /> Mr. McQuaid responded, "From November 1 , 1993 , which is <br /> the second deadline he was given to tie-in to January 13 , <br /> 1994 which totals 74 days. " <br /> Mr. Greelish stated, "Lets consider a monetary fine <br /> based upon a 74 day violation." "I would recommend a <br /> $1,000.00 fine. " <br /> Mr. Ball stated, "I don't mind going along with the fine <br /> but I think we should give him the option of community ser- <br /> vice. " <br /> Mr. Greelish commented, "I would agree that after we <br /> agree on the fine that we consider some community service. " <br /> Mr. Doherty stated, "If you are going to do it I would <br /> recommend you issue a monetary fine." "If Mr. Halpern would <br /> like to come in and do something in lieu of it then he can <br /> appeal the decision. " "I will state for the record I am not <br /> in favor of a fine." <br /> Mr. Greelish motioned that this Board has sufficient <br /> findings to find Mr. Richard Halpern in violation for 74 days <br /> and that this Board will assess a fine of $1,000.00, Mr. Ball <br /> seconded. Mr. Doherty opposed. <br /> *****NEW BUSINESS***** <br /> Executive Secretary's budget recommendation F.Y. 145 <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed, "From what we requested they are <br /> lowering our salary and wage request by $5,082.00 which rep- <br /> resents the part-time clerk and 13,500.00 request for a new <br /> vehicle. " "The expense budget is level funded with the cur- <br /> rent year eliminating approximately $2,500.00 of the increase <br /> request. " <br /> Mr. Greelish directed the Agent to contact our Finance <br /> Committee liaison and request a meeting with him. <br /> Being no further business Mr. Ball motioned to adjourn the <br /> meeting at 9.04 p.m. , Mr. Greelish seconded, all agreed. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Veronica Warden, Adm.
